Could You Give One of Our Guinea Pigs a Home???
If you could please contact our centre on 01634 681187 for more information and to arrange a viewing

When adopting a guinea pig from us we do not set any minimum donation fee. However a generous donation would be appreciated for the following reasons:-
Full Health Checks and Medical Treatment if Needed
Food & Bedding Costs
Guinea Pigs Need a Daily Supply of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
Our main costs with guinea pigs are usually from medical treatment for mites. Due to some of the animal being neglected, many guinea pigs come to us from the mild cases of a few mites to severe mites with skin problems. This can take up to 3+ weeks of veterinary treatment.

We do not have a set fee for our Guinea Pigs
We only ask for a Donation
Please Give Generously
Sausage is a single male guinea pig looking for a new home. He was born in October 2005 and came to us because his owners were moving. He is quiet a social guinea pig and enjoys human interaction. Sausage is a tri colour, Abyssinian x, he has a good temperament and would suit either an indoor home or an outside home as long as he gets plenty of attention. Sausage has not been neutered.

Maddie and Prissy are a pair of female guinea pigs looking for a new home. They came to us from a person who found themselves with too many animals to cope with. Maddie is a Abyssinian magpie and Prissy is a chocolate point Himalayan. We have no idea on how old they are and we know they didn’t have that much handling, although a little skittish they soon settle down when you have hold of them.

Sherpa is a male, smooth coated, Himalayan. We do not know how old he is as he was abandoned when his owners moved. He had a touch of mite when he came in to us but this has now cleared and his ready for re-homing. He loves a cuddle but can be a little hard to catch when in his hutch. Sherpa would suit an indoor home or an outside home if he gets a lot of attention. Sherpa isn’t neutered.

Alex and Andy are two young, crested guinea pigs. These guinea pigs haven’t had hardly any handling and are very skittish. These boys will need a lot of hands on work to calm them down. These boys are approx 3-4 months old, Alex is tan and white and Andy is white with black and tan patches. These guinea pigs aren’t suitable as children’s pet, they would suit a home experienced in keeping guinea pigs.

Willy and Wonka are two of a group of guinea pigs that came to us from a house where they were living a complete wild life style. These guinea pigs were left to run a garden without caging and left to run free and breed. Because of this they are very difficult to catch to handle. Once you have them they start to settle, but are not suitable for children’s pets and would suit a home with experience in keeping guinea pigs. Both boys are crested guinea pigs, Willy is black, tan and white and Wonka is white, black and tan. We have very little details on them, so we have no idea on how old they are.

Perry and Paul are two of a group of guinea pigs that came to us from a house where they were living a complete wild life style. These guinea pigs were left to run a garden without caging and left to run free and breed. Because of this they are very difficult to catch to handle. Once you have them they start to settle, but are not suitable for children’s pets and would suit a home with experience in keeping guinea pigs. Perry is a semi long haired, mixed breed and in tan and white in colour, Paul in a Peruvian x and is lilac, tan and white. Because these boys were free running the previous owners couldn’t tell us their age.

Peter was one of guinea pigs that came to us from a house where they were living a complete wild life style. These guinea pigs were left to run a garden without caging and left to run free and breed. Peter was obviously the dominant male and although we tried to keep him with a group of males he was a fighter and wouldn’t settle. As all the rest of the guinea pigs that came in from this house, he is very hard to handle and will need a home with a person experienced in keeping guinea pigs. Peter is a cream, Peruvian x and will have very little details on him.

We have two young guinea pigs looking for a new home together. These boys came into us because their previous owners daughter developed a skin allergy. These boys have been much loved pets and are quiet friendly, they were born in January 2008, so are still very young, so can be fast but with regular handling they will be fantastic pets. Bert is a gold and white, Abyssinian and Ernie is a gold, black and white mixed breed.

Taco, Pancake and Cheesecake are three sisters looking for a new home together. They first came to our centre just over a year ago and we re-homed them, but due to their new owners having a change of circumstances and was unable to keep them, so they have been returned to us through no fault of their own. These 3 chunky girls are very friendly and like their cuddles and their greens. They are large for female, Taco is probably the biggest and she is a mixed breed, silver agouti, Pancake is the second biggest and she is a mixed breed, brown agouti and Cheesecake is the smallest out of the group and she is a mixed breed, brown agouti. We are unsure of their age as they first came to us from a house where their were too many animals to cope with and the owners had no idea on ages, but we would probably estimate them to 3-4 years old.

All new owners enter into an animal adoption agreement with us in which we clearly set out how we expect our animals to be looked after with the final reassurance that if, for whatever reason, it does not work out and the animal can no longer be cared for we expect the animal to be returned to us at Rspca Medway West.
