Could You Give One of Our Guinea Pigs a Home???
If you could please contact our centre on 01634 681187 for more information and to arrange a viewing

When adopting a guinea pig from us we do not set any minimum donation fee. However a generous donation would be appreciated for the following reasons:-
Full Health Checks and Medical Treatment if Needed
Food & Bedding Costs
Guinea Pigs Need a Daily Supply of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
Our main costs with guinea pigs are usually from medical treatment for mites. Due to some of the animal being neglected, many guinea pigs come to us from the mild cases of a few mites to severe mites with skin problems. This can take up to 3+ weeks of veterinary treatment.

We do not have a set fee for our Guinea Pigs
We only ask for a Donation
Please Give Generously
Fudge came to us via another RSPCA branch that was shutting down it’s small animal section. He originally signed over as his previous owners could no longer keep him. Fudge is a friendly male, who was born in September 2007. Fudge is a mixed breed, male guinea pig and he is mainly chocolate with tan patches. He is NOT neutered.

Ruben and Greco are father and son who are looking for a new home together. Ruben was living with a female guinea pig that gave birth to 3 babies (Greco and his 2 sisters), unfortunately Ruben wasn’t removed and the female got pregnant again as well as the two young girls and the people decided to sign them all over to us. Ruben has nurtured Greco and they have always lived together and get on well. We are unsure how old Ruben is we believe to be no older than 18 months but cannot be 100% sure and Greco was born in September 2009. Both guinea pigs are Crested and are black and tan with a little white on them, Ruben has white on his crest and Greco has a white blaze down his nose. These boys are NOT neutered.

Midge is a female, teddy x, guinea pig. She came to us in an appalling state, next to no fur, severe mite and trying to raise a baby, who was only a couple of weeks old and also in a very bad way, unfortunately he didn’t make it. It’s taken 4 months to get her healthy, her fur has now grown back and now looking for a new home. She could possibly go with another female or a male neutered but we can’t guarantee that this will work as she is very strong mined and we have tried mixing her in with females but she seems to start fights and we’ve had to separate her. She is a little nervous of new people but does like a cuddle. We do not know how old she is, she was very small and thin when she came to us but has grown and filled out but we are unsure if she was young and still growing or just kept in an appalling conditions, she is gold, agouti and white in colour. She is NOT neutered.

All new owners enter into an animal adoption agreement with us in which we clearly set out how we expect our animals to be looked after with the final reassurance that if, for whatever reason, it does not work out and the animal can no longer be cared for we expect the animal to be returned to us at Rspca Medway West.
