Ben and Abbey

Ben and Abbey came to us as strays, they were both extremely thin and the vet recommended we didn’t handle them as they were so anorexic their bones could break. These are young rabbits approx 6-8 months old and were probably from the same litter, although Ben has lopped ears and Abbey has straight ears. Their colouring is classed as blue magpie and although both are friendly rabbits and will enjoy a cuddle they can be a little skittish and difficult to pick up. This pair deserve a special home to make up for the very bad start they had to their lives. They have both been vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd and Ben has been neutered.

Twizzle and Lunar

Twizzle and Lunar are mother and daughter looking for a new home. Twizzle gave birth soon after coming into the centre which was a huge shock to us all. Twizzle came to us via an inspector as her living situation wasn’t suitable. She had been kept in a very small hutch with very little human contact. Twizzle isn’t the easiest rabbit to handle but doesn’t mind being stroked on ground level. Lunar is the last of the 4 babies born, she is a little highly strung and does need more handling. Twizzle is an agouti, medium/large, mixed breed rabbit, we are unsure of her age. Lunar is agouti in colour with a white spot on her nose, sshe will be a medium/large rabbit and has huge ears (similar to a Belgium Hare). This rabbit are not really suitable for young children as they don’t enjoy being handled and much prefer being on ground level. They are both vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd.

Benji is a black otter, medium size, mixed breed rabbit, he is a friendly rabbit and fairly easy to handle once his got to know you. He is still young as he was born in November 2007. Buster

Buster is a small/medium size mixed, breed, agouti male rabbit. He came to us because his elderly owner was going into hospital for a long time and it was felt that he was unable to give the rabbits he had the proper care and attention. Buster was born in June 2005, he is friendly but had very little handling, although not the hardest rabbit to handle, he does occasionally struggle when you first pick him up, this should get better with more handling. We have also noticed he occasionally has weepy eyes, although our vet has seen him on a couple of times, he can not find any reason why this happens and they clear up if you bathe them with warm water, but he may always have the occasional weepy eye. Buster is fully vaccinated against Myxi and Hvd and neutered. Buster will be able to be match up with a female from 30/08/08.

Trigger

Trigger is a young, orange, male, Rex. He was born in September 2007, he is a friendly rabbit that enjoys to be stroked on ground level, but on occasion will struggle when first handling him if he doesn‘t feel safe. He is a lovely rabbit and the Rex coat is like velvet to stroke. He looks a bit struffy in his picture as he is going through his first proper moult. Trigger is vaccinated against Myxi & Hvd and is also neutered so could be matched up with a female.

Elvis

Elvis is a male, medium size lop. He came to the centre as a stray and like most our strays no one ever came forward to claim him so he is now looking for a new home. Elvis is Lilac/Tan and white in colour and is a shy but friendly rabbit, who needs a new home where he can get lots of love and attention. When he first came into us he had a weepy eye, he saw the vet and he recommended bathing the eye with warm water which we did and it cleared up, although it is possible it may reoccur. Elvis is vaccinated against Myxi & Hvd and has also been neutered. Elvis will be able to be match up with a female from 30/08/08.
