Looking After the Animals in Kent
Dear Medway centre,
Hi,
We went looking for a boisterous ginger tom but we were smitten by this quiet little torti girl who just made eyes at you and never once tried to grab any attention!
On getting home Conker spent a week behind the TV, we knew we had to be patient with her.... meeting new owners and 4 new brothers and sisters was a big step for her!
At the end of the second week Conker let her guard slip and allowed us a tummy tickle ... on realising her mistake she went and hid again! but we knew we were getting there.
By the end of the third week, the lure of a sunny window sill found Conker tolerating our presence and we found her snuggled up one day to her new brother Casper, from that moment on Conker came out of her shell and plodded up to bed with us at night and sleeps at the foot of the bed, but not before Conkers night time tickle sessions, which she will not allow us to escape from. Conker actually pulls your hand towards her with her paws ( so cute)
Every morning Conker spends time with her slave Daddy who brushes her. ( its ok for some having your own personal hairdresser on a daily basis!)
It has taken 4 weeks of patience for Conkers personality to come through, that shy little girl has turned out to be an avid foot, toe, well any bare will do skin washer ! There is no escaping Conkers tongue.
She sings for her food and waits patiently behind grandmother Lucy, in the race for who gets the best bit of chicken off Daddies plate!
Conker comes and sits with you at night, but only after she has raced around the house jumping on every cat or human in sight! We are having to replace toys weekly now!
Conker is a delight to have and makes us laugh a lot, she is also
has the sweetest of natures which will only grow in the coming months . She particularly enjoys Casper's company and they both wash each other avidly.
I could go on and on about her, her shy nature at first was well hidden and it is a delight to see her emerging into a very fun cat to have around. Its funny how the shy ones are just waiting for a chance to shine!
We are so happy that CONKER chose us to be her new family.
Thank you Penny XXXXX
Liz, Tim, Max and Rhiannon Sherwood- Stares
(and not forgetting Lucy, Rosie and Jester, who i also got from you
at RSPCA Medway West over the last 9 years as well) and finally
Casper and Conker.
Dear Penny,
We bought Mowgli and Bathsheba (was Pickles) from you a couple of months ago, and so here's a quick progress report!
Thank you for 2 such lovely cats! Mowgli in particular has gone from a frightened creature who refused to come out from behind the washing machine to the most loving and affectionate cat I've ever known. Bathsheba too is very loving, and they follow us round wherever we go, and don't like it when we're in different rooms. The pair are always together, which we think is lovely, as they have a very special bond! I think Bathsheba thinks she's a human, as she often sits on a chair the way a human would (see attached picture!)
The happiness of getting the kittens has been hampered slightly by the loss of our other cat, Willow, who went missing last Tuesday. I don't suppose you've had an old, black female bought to you at all have you? We're rung round the vets and animal places in the area, leafletted the village, done a door to door and gone on numerous walks searching for her... but nothing.
Anyway, I've attached some pictures of the kittens for you to coo over! (They're very sweet!)
Thank you again! We adore them.
Frankie and Lee.

Hi Penny,
I thought I would let you know how we are getting on with our little boy that we rehomed from you at the end of last year. Formerly known as Bert (now known as Jasper), he settled in brilliantly from the start, it is like he has always lived with us! He loves his food, cat milk and chicken are his favourite!
After buying him all sorts of toys, it is a ball of tin foil that gets the most attention, and he happily chases it around for ages (which results in us spending most of the evening fishing it out from under the sofa!!) We love a cuddle in the evenings, and from the first night he has come up to bed with us, first to sleep in his own bed and very soon to join us in ours! And he certainly lets us know when we are supposed to get up in the morning to get his breakfast! He really is one of the family already, and he is quite a spoilt puss, but we wouldn't have it any other way! Thank-you so much for matching us with our Jasper.
Best Wishes
Liz and Ross

Hello,
We adopted Fritz and Frazzle from you in october and thought you might like an update.
At first both rabbits where very nervous of being held and touched as they had not been handled. But after a few weeks they just got better and better they also both grew a strong bond almost friendship with are dog Beano. They still need improvement but you can give them cuddles and handle them without them being nervous which proves they are more relaxed with us.They enjoy trying to escape but have been unsecsessful so far. They enjoy cuddling up to each other and clean each other every five minutes fritz and frazzle have made are lives very colorfull and they have proved that you can make any rabbit friendly. We love them very much and are so glad we brought them from you.
Many thanks
Tulin,Leyla and Richard :D
Banjo
Banjo has been with us for over 5 weeks now and he is the most affectionate playful cat, we absolutly adore him. It took a couple of days to get used to his new surroundings and he now loves nothing more then jumping on our laps for cuddles and naps before we have even sat down. He is very people friendly too and loves playing with his toys. He still loves his food and has even been outside to explore and enjoys it so much he now sits by the door when he wants to go out
.the only problem is trying to get him to keep a collar on.
Thanks so much he has truly become a member of our family.
Claire and Lee

Dear Penny, Amanda and all,
Its been 6 months since we adopted Benjy Bunny from you and I thought it was about time we sent some pictures of him and let you know how he is getting on. I also attach some pictures of Syd, who we adopted 4 years ago. (He was the cat found with his deceased owner).
Well, as you can see they are both doing very well. Syd is an elderly gent now, who has trouble jumping due to his back legs not being as strong as they were. Although he can still play with his little sister Mia who is 1 years old (seen in back of photo with Benjy and Syd), but he still lets her know who's boss and he often supervises her play with another younger cat in the garden, which is quite sweet. Syd is very clearly head of the family.
Benjy has well and truly come out of his shell, this past week and today chased Syd around the garden, poor Syd. Benjy is gaining confidence everyday and its so rewarding to see the changes in him, from nervous timid little boy to a boy who is much bigger in confidence and personality than his small size, bless him. I think he may be trying to top Syd as head of family ha,ha.
Thank you for allowing us to adopt two lovely boys from you, I cant imagine life without them and thank you for looking after them, for if it wasnt for caring people like you, I dread to think what could've become of them and the many more animals you have, still do and will care for.
All the best
From Syd, Benjy and the humans, Nicola, Gav, Ayla and Freya xx

Hi Penny and Amanda
I do hope you are as pleased as we are with the progress of Lily.
We are both just happy that she has settled so well she know all the comfy spot for sleeping and she loves being out in the garden thankfully she does not wander well only down to my friend next door but one, she eats well and love roast chicken, and whiskies steamed paunches lol only the best I suppose you could say she's a wee bit spoilt but I think she deserves to be.
Love Mags

I thought that you might like to see a couple of photos of Otto and Nemo from the past few weeks. I am not very brilliant on attachments so I hope you can open them OK.
Further to our chat this morning about Nemo and his smelly bottom..........we will worm them tonight. But thought it might make you smile to imagine us trying to teach Nemo how to wash himself! John has been encouraging him to get into "bottom washing" positions, and then squeezing water onto his bottom! And just now, for the first time, he did wash his bottom! :-D So, please keep your fingers crossed for us that he will eventually be able to do it himself! If you find out any tips to help us I will be very grateful as I'm sure Nemo will not be happy for me to shower him forever!
Thanks so much for all your help and for letting us have these beautiful cats,
Julia Gomersall.
Hi Penny
i adopted Whiskey (known then as Phoebe) from you aaages ago. its just come round to her first birthday and it reminded me i meant to send you pictures and update you a long time ago. so i apologise for the lateness. but all is good anyway.
she settled in on her first day and strutted round like she owned the place. and still does.
she loves company and adores my other cat Mac. follows him about, does everything he does, sits where he sits. its cute. hes a bit old though so not quite so up for playing as she is. hes got used to her and tolerates her. occasionally giving her a lil bat or a hiss when she gets too into the playing and annoys him.
Shes a bit of a mental one is whiskey. eats anything. steals little flannels and loofas from the bathroom. steals anything remotley fluffy and hides it all.
As i am typing this infact she is beside the moniter. trying to sniff and lick the lollipop stick from in mouth :P. she is an odd one.
but she fits in well and everyone loves her here :)
il attach some photos so u can see just how much shes grown and how gorgeous she is.
take care,
Louise.
Hiya,
We are extremely pleased to advise you that these two little darlings "Dot & Dash" have now very quickly settled in to their new home and
they are both running around like mad lunatics, up and down 2 flights of stairs, in / out of rooms between our three storey / four bedroom house !!!
Our daughters, Milly & Katie absolutely adore and enjoy every waking moment with them... - A PERFECT MATCH - Thank You.
Dot & Dash seem blissfully happy chasing each other / toys around all the time, barely stopping at night for forty winks.
Thank You.
Alan Gill Milly & Katie
Hi,
It's nearly a year since we adopted MImi & Lola. Sorry it has taken so long to send some pics but they are flourishing and have lovely personalities. Mimi is the bossy one and Lola is more gentle. Both of them like to come out of their cage but not too run around - just to curl up on someones tummy!
Kind Regards
Terry
Hi Penny just thought you would like ti know how Luke & Eli are getting on.
As you can see from the photo's they have made themselves at home.We think the world of them both. We love watching their antics they get up to.It's like have a two human infants in the house with their toys scattered throughout the house.one minute they chase each other around like Tom & Jerry play fighting, and the next they are cuddled up together asleep, very cute. Both have very different personalities,Luke is the bossy/friendly one and Eli the more Quite/reserved one who follows behind his brother.
Thank you for allowing to care for them.
Best Regards
Teresa Martin
Hello
Back in November 2008 we brought Bill the pig from the Medway West Branch. Just thought Id let you know he has settled in, we have found he likes tunnels and a maze of cereal boxes to play in.
Thank you
Mrs Willsher
Hi Penny.
I thought id let you know how Little Millie is getting along.
Well as you can see by the pics it didnt take five minutes for her to get settled in! apart from weeing on mummy on the way home (blesss her!) Shes been as good as gold and very relaxed. Its like shes always been here. She isnt really interested in 'her room' anymore, prefering to follow us around the house. Shes met the neighbours cat through the glass door and isnt impressed by him at all, she makes sure he knows whos house this is!!
I cant thank you enough for her and will write again to let you know how shes getting on.
All our love Briony and Lee

Hi Penny
Sorry for not having been in touch since I adopted Ailsa.
Though I would just drop you a line and let you know how well she is doing.
After collecting her on Thursday 17th July, she had a very good journey back to Northampton. Listening as I talked to her all the way home so she could get used to my voice, we even had some calming Classic FM playing on the journey!
On arriving at her new home, I was very conscious of letting her out of the cat box just in the lounge/dining room so she only had a reasonable sized space to get used to at first. She came straight out of the box, sniffing and rubbing up table legs, rubbing against my feet, etc.
She was so inquisitive and seemed to feel at home almost immediately so I let her investigate the kitchen and bathroom, introduced her to her food & water bowls and her litter tray. She did manage to find a space to crawl into next to the dishwasher so I had to pull it out to get her. Needless to say, she'd found a way to get under the kitchen cupboards so I had to pull the side off where I found her laying, covered in cobwebs. She quite happily came out though.
After blocking up the gap, I left her sniffing around by herself while I sat and watched some television and the next thing I knew, she was jumping up onto my lap and curled up.
As she seemed to comfortable in her new surroundings, we let her investigate upstairs and she spent her 1st night with us curled up on our bed.
All I can say is that she has come on in leaps and bounds ever since. She lets us know when she's doesn't want any fuss but she is the most beautiful, playful cat and I thank you for letting me bring her home with me. She has just been allowed to start investigating the garden this week and yesterday, found that playing with a slug was brilliant fun. She didn't think so after she'd licked it though!
I've attached a couple of pictures so you can see just how beautiful she is and I adore her.
I've also attached a link below that my sister posted on her dog pages about her.
Andy had planned to let me have her for our 1st anniversary present but decided that he wanted her to be an engagement present. That's why you'll see her joining me in a box while I read a wedding magazine in one of the photos!
Thanks again Penny for letting us give her a lovely new home.
Lots of love
Jo, Andy & Ailsa xxx

Hello there, I am writting to thank you for letting me adopt 2 rats. They have been named Ruby (the one with the black head) and Jade (the white/grey one). They are getting along very well and are great additions to our family. They even seem to like the hamster which we already had. They are both very cheeky and enjoy each others company and ours, they love to be handled, and allowed to run around the living room, and eat!! They also love playing in all their new toys.A big thank you to everyone at the RSPCA at Walderslade.
Ive attached some photos.
Thank You
Jennifer and Alan
Hi
I just wanted to update you on Sally. She's settled in really well - hogging the settee. She's very sweet but doesn't know how to use a cat flap, much to the amusement of the other cats who just stroll past her! She'll get there, but she's not the Einstein of the cat world!
She's a lovely addition, adores being brushed and stroked, and is putting on weight with each passing week.
warm regards
Andrea
Dear Penny,
Just wanted to let you know how Rosie has settled in. She is such a lovely, gentle cat and purrs like an engine for ages when she is on your lap - which she loves. She likes the cardboard box as you can see, we found her in it after we had emptied it and now often find her sleeping in it - even though she has a bed, one of your nice blankets and the use of all our chairs when ever she likes! She is nervous of doors opening and closing and runs away when she hears the front door but one evening she actually ran out to the hallway to see who was coming in,(it was our daughter) as though she was greeting her; so we're happy she is getting used to that. She is gorgeous, thank you so much for letting us give her a new home.

Hi All,
I can't believe it's been 6 months since I adopted Inca from you, time's gone by so quickly. Inca settled in almost immediately, she loves hopping around the house chasing our German Shepherd cross (she's definitely the dogs bunny). Inca loves being cuddled and sits on our laps for hours being stroked, she stamps her foot when she's put back on the floor and her favourite game is getting our attention by throwing her toys at us.
Thank you so much for letting me adopt her, she's brought us all so much joy,
Kirsty
Hi Penny,
I just wanted to let you know that Lucy (formerly known as Metalica) has settled nicely into her new home and seems very contented. She is only a little 9-month old cat, but she doesn't complain about anything and purrs about almost everything.
She wasn't shy at all when I got her home, and walked straight out of her carrier and started exploring. Her favourite playmates at the moment are Yellow Mousey and Socky the Sock. She is very cute, running around purring and waking me up to play in the mornings! She also likes lots of belly-rubs when I get home.
Cheers
Simon

Hi Penny,
I have been meaning to write for a long while to let you know how Zoe(now known as Frankie) is getting on.
The day we brought her home she decided to hide for two weeks, a very scared little pussycat......things have changed now!!!
She loves to be centre of attention and will sleep wherever she can. Frankie always want to be cuddled, when we first collected her, she was an indoor cat, not anymore, she loves adventuring in the garden and playing with her buddy Ralph (our other cat).
Thanks for your help

Dear Penny and Amanda, Just to let you know that Ruby and Max (formerly Widget and Fidget) have settled in beautifully and as you can see from these pics they have really grown. they have made themselves well and truly at home. My old girl Jeni has come round slowly and accepted them although they are not quite friends yet. She will however share a tin of tuna with them !!
thank you for letting me take them in,keep up the good work and I hope you are both well. regards Liz Orchard x
Hello Penny,
Randy and Earl have settled in nicely, i've had them a month today. They like exploring in the graden but soon come running when they hear me preparing their food. They have VERY healthy appetites!! I felt no need to change their names and kept them the same. They are very loving and affectionate cats, and I enjoy having a little cuddle with them at night, and in the morning I get greeted by the pair. Thankyou for letting me adopt them and I look forward to celebrating their second birthday in 5 days!!
From a very happy mummy!

Hi Penny,
Its Colin here (aka Bandit) just checking in to let you know how Im getting on. I am now extremely settled in my new home with my new playmate Tictac.
After a bit of a stroppy start from tictac (shes such a diva, I found it was best just to ignore her) we are now very good buddies.
We have such fun driving mummy mad, making lots of mess, getting in to all sorts of mischief and running round the house like lunatics!!
Must dash its dinner time - Thanks again Penny

Hi Penny,
Thought we would drop you a line to let you know how Harry (aka Elfie) is doing since we adopted him from you back in February.
Well, Harry has been a very welcome addition to our home! Apart from a few nerves being in the car and a little 'toilet accident' in the carry case on the way home the night we picked him up from you, Harry settled in straight away. In fact within an hour of being home, after investigating the house, he was laying on the sofa with my son and partner watching T.V.!!! He used the litter tray and scratch post straight away, he loves his grub........a real text book cat!!!!
Although we have only had him 3 months, Its like we have always had him, he is so sociable and approaches everyone who comes round or jumps straight on their laps for a bit of fuss, he doesn't care who it is or how old they are!!!!
He is ever so good with our 3 year old son who loves him to bits and lets him cuddle him, kiss him and play with him! We couldn't have asked for a better cat, he really is part of the family and I'm sure whoever lost him must miss him terribly as he is so loving and laid back, and a little cheeky at times!
Thank you for letting us take Harry home, we really cant believe what a lovely cat he is and how he has become such a big part of our family!
We hope you like the photos'!!!!

Hi Penny.
We rehomed Fidget aka Sparkle and kitten who we named Twinkle in Sep 06.
We came to the cattery looking at getting ONE tabby female cat,but took away TWO black and white male cats. They are doing so well,Twinkle is now almost 3 and Sparkle is about 11.They are fab cats.Twinkle is a daddys boy,and Sparkle doesnt favour any of us.We are hoping to come and see you soon to collect another cat.Ive added some pics for you see how they look nowadays.
Tracy Austin.x
Sparkle is the big white and black.Twinkle the black and white is pictured with our staffy Marley.

I came to you with my daughter on the 26th January 2008 to see Connie & Snowflake and we feel in love with them straight away. They have settled in really well and they look forward to there cuddles every evening when we sit on the floor with them and they have a snack. Connie loves a snack of celery and its leaves and Snowflake loves pepper.
We kept the names that you gave them as we thought they really suited them, they seem to be responding to them to.
They are very lucky guinea pigs as my daughter insisted they have there own blankets to give them a cuddle in and in there hutch they have a snuggly which they both cuddle up in and it keeps them lovley and warm.
We cant wait for the summer weather to come so we can enjoy them even more and spend time with them in the garden.
I was so glad that I found your site so that we could give two lovely guinea pigs a new home.
Many Thanks
Julie & Charlotte
Hello,
We adopted Jellytot from you and thought you might like an update on him.
He has settled in ok and loves to have a fuss made of him.
He loves having cuddles, eating carrot tops and running round like mad..
We are so happy to have him.
Victoria + Jellytot

Hi Penny
I adopted Lilly and Hebe (originally Blossom) back in August 2007 and
since then they have settled in great. They were very nervous at first and
it took a few months for their true personalities to really shine through.
Lilly is my boyfriends shadow, she follows him every where, she likes
cuddle's but on her terms only and my boyfriend has nick named her Beckham
as she goes mad for her toy balls, sliding across the floors banging in to
the walls and she has a strange obsession with the toilet!! She had to
have an operation a couple of months after we adopted her as she had a
Hernia in her tummy, but she is all better now. Hebe is my little girl,
she jumps on my lap for cuddles all the time and every night at bed time
she will join us on the bed for a night time cuddle, until she gets bored
and starts attacking my boyfriends toes, her favourite past time is racing
people up the stairs and her pink play tunnel.
They are both still very fussy eaters but we have got used to that now.
They both choose to be indoor cats, we did let them out in the garden last
summer, but the way they were acting makes me think that they had never
been outside before they were a bag of nerves. I will let them out in the
garden again when the weather gets warmer but for now they are happy to
stay indoors sleeping next to the radiators. I have attached a few
pictures of them enjoying some of their favourite past times, playing and
sleeping and as you can see they are both still very devoted to each
other.
Thank you for all of your help.
Kind Rgs

I adopted my lovely little guinea pig girlies from The RSPCA Medway West Branch in Chatham, Kent on the 12th January 2008. Their age is unknown, but they are under 1 year old. They were brought in from a woman who was breeding guinea pigs with the idea of selling them. Well, as fate would have it she couldn't sell them and became over run with guinea pigs. My girls come from a large batch taken from this woman. The RSPCA branch suspected they were pregnant at first, but then realised they must have each had a litter before they came to them.
I'd been contemplating rescuing a couple of guinea pigs for a while. I had, while living in the Philippines over 3 years ago had a guinea pig there. I decided that I would not buy my piggies from a pet shop, as there are so many lovely piggies that need new homes, just like my girls.
So, first things first! I made a indoor cage myself, as I had made my own in the Philippines. The idea and design is from the wonderful website www.guineapigcages.com. Far too many piggies are kept in ridiculously small pet store bought cages. Cavy Cage (the above link) promotes building your own spacious cage. My two girls love their cage.
My girls are still timid, but we're slowly making progress! They enjoy being brushed and Ruby especially likes Spinach!
Hi there!
I adopted 2 beautiful piggy brothers, Benny & Moto, in May 2006 and when I got there to collect them there was one solitary, lonely hamster so I brought her home too!! She had no name so we called her 'Annie' as she was a ginger orphan!! I've been meaning to let you know how they've been getting on for a long time! You'll be pleased to know that they are all still keeping well even though they are all getting quite old now, although you wouldn't know it by how much energy they all have! Annie is the friendliest and cleverest rodent I have ever known - she comes only when you call her name, demands her favourite foods, loves getting out and about, is completely fearless, even in the presence of my enormous German Shepherd dog and knocks on her door to come out at 10.30 every night on the dot. She's got a slight skin infection at the moment but is responding well to anti-biotics and is still so happy and greedy!! Benny and Moto fitted in nicely with our colony of house-pigs (we have another four) and, although a little skittish and shy when they first arrived, they are settled and friendly and so gentle and placid and laid-back - except with each other!! You could put 10 carrots in their cage and they would only want the one that their brother is eating - they tend to like doing flying headbutts (complete with battlecry!!) at each other but will be snuggled up with each other 2 minutes later - they are a joy to watch. Everyone says that Benny is the biggest pig they have ever seen - he really does like his food!! As soon as you open his cage door he's up and out, using the door as a ramp to frredom - and cabbage!! Hope you enjoy the photos.
Cindy

Hi Penny,
Here's the update on our mogs, with some before and after photos.
We went looking for a long promised kitten for our son, and during the process, felt we should also give a home to Willow (a.k.a. Bunny). Leo the kitten and Willow, a young female, came to live with us about four months ago. Willow was very thin (she appeared to have been thrown out) and missing a lot of fur due to an allergy resulting from fleas. Although friendly, she was, and sometimes still is very frightened by loud noises. She would hide in the most obscure places; behind the T.V., a shelf unit, or a high bookshelf. She is good company for Leo, but regains her solitude by going out once or twice a week for 24 hours!
Willow doesn't take too much annoyance and has a swift right paw, accompanied by a few choice 'street cat' phrases. She can smell someone's ham sandwich from anywhere in the house, even when she's asleep, and is the only cat we've had that knows exactly what a milk container is. Leo is the softest, cutest, most gorgeous and lovable kitten we have ever had. We do however, have to discourage him from late night partying, by waking him up more during the day! Both are very vocal when hungry, it's like having a repeater cat-alarm. Leo is always desperate to see everyone in the morning, and purrs like a Ferrari ! 'So glad we homed these two, they really add something to our family.
Best wishes,
Jacquie, Paul & Joel

Penny (Medway West Cattery)
Hope you and your daughter are well.
As you may remember just after Christmas I came to collect Dandy and Teddy from you (now named Coco and Cookie). I thought you might like to hear how they are getting on in their new home. After only 2 weeks they were quite independant and could come and go as they wished. They've learnt to use the catflap and are creating chaos around the neighbouhood. They're still boisterous and provide us with hours of entertainment with their playfighting and hunting practice. They have settled in just fine.
I've attatched a photo of the boys.
Many thanks,
Alan, Sylvia and Katherine

Hello Penny
I just thought you'd would like to see that Patch who is now known as Harry has settled in with us.
I must admit he can be a bit naughty climbing on everything but he'll soon learn that the wall-unit is not a climbing frame lol
But the best thing of all is that he such a loving in cat, I'm so pleased I choose him.
He's eating very well and he quiet good at night well....... The first night he had the waste basket in the bedroom emptied and the second night the Kitchen got the Harry treatment but no harm was done.
Thank you
Mags, Richard and Harry Webb

Hi Penny,
Hope you have had a nice Christmas and have managed to find some time to rest and relax!
I just wanted to send you a couple of photos of Fliss (previously Candy) so you can be assured that she has settled in well and appears to be truly happy.
Take care
Liz Pratt
Wishing you all at RSPCA a very merry Christmas,
I know you are busy this time of year, just wanted to let you have another update on Walnut & crab.
Our new additions have certianly made the run up to christmas entertaining.
Both are very helpful Walnut loves to assist wrapping up the presents, more so when we add any bows or ribbons.
& Crab is adding his artistic flair by re arranging all the desorations to suit him.
Whilst crab lays seige of the Cristmas tree for the umpteenth time, Walnut is everyones best friend. He really turns on the charm with the cute behaviour when there is food around, upping the volume on his purring.
And if all gets to much they flop down with exhausted on the fish tank.
Bless them.
Hope you enjoy the latest photos.
Kindest regards

I went to see them this eve for the first time, allowing them to settle in and they were out and about running up and down the stairs after a ping pong ball, you could hear them running and skidding upstairs along the hall way...they are really REALLY crazy!! They look absolutely amazing, their coats are that shiney u can see ya reflection...no lie its like a mirror, they are beautiful...truely beautiful!! my mum is going to call you Penny at some point with an update, but i thought id send an email also with a few attached pics for you to see.
anyway take care... u do a fantastic job with all these babies, speak soon Adele x

Hi Penny
Just a little update.
Thomas aka Hunky and Custard aka Dory are doing fine.
Thomas is a fussy little git! wouldn't eat his biscuits just the meat, but he has now started to eat them as and when nothing else is about for him.
Custard well she loves her food, meat and biscuits and she is doing OK on the food front.
Both going to bed when we go now in the hall so getting used to this which is good.
They are so loving especially Thomas he always kisses me and wants loads of cuddles, they are very naughty when they want to be but very different personalities, custard the girl acts like a mum, sister and a 1 yr old cat she is the mature one around here. Thomas on the other hand loves climbing up the curtains, chasing the mouse on the pc, sitting on my shoulder and sleeping.
I have included some pics of them, hope you like.
Back in contact soon
Take Care and Thanks for all your help Penny you deserve a medal for all your work.

Hello Penny,
Sorry for taking so long in getting round to letting you know how Misty is getting on.
After initially being very nervous and skittish around us, she now loves her new home (and owners). She loves to run around the house like a nutter!! She gets on great with our other cat Lottie and they play together all the time. She is a very affectionate cat and gets plenty of love from us.
She's always wanting loads of attention and if she doesn't get it she will demand it, if you're reading a paper or magazine she'll come over and sit on it, if you are watching tv she will come on your lap and be so soppy it doesn't matter how good the thing is you're watching you can't help but pay attention. As I type this email she is climbing all over the keyboard and monitor for attention!!
Thank you for such an amazing addition to our family!
Kind Regards,
Alex & Scott xx

Hello.
I thought i would just send you a quick email letting you know how Branston is settling in. We are beginning to become friends, he has settled in well into his new hutch and run, he is very interested in my little dog they keep following each other up and down his run sniffing at each other. I had a lot of work to do today so brought Branston inside to let him explore and have a play. He had a great time chasing my hamster in her bright pink ball but was less impressed when he slid on the wooden floor boards and the hamster then chased him!!
I have attached a few pics of him playing and settling in.

Hi Penny,
Just a quick note to let you know how Baby Schuey is doing. Well both of the girls (Princess Mimi & Princess Yuki) love him to bits, especially Mimi who never leaves him alone.
Although Schuey is training to be in the SAS, in his spare time he is a mummy's boy and is always making funny little noises, which i take it to be that he's happy.
Here's a few pics of all the weenies to show you how gorgeous they are.
Love Mel, Princess Mimi, Princess Yuki & Baby Schuey xxx

Hi Penny
Thought I would give you an update on Bitsa ... !
I wasnt sure how he would get on with our resident rescue cat Rocky (who is not the most social of cats!) - but after a period of integration they seem to get on well ... dare I say almost like one another!! Bits loves to play - will often pounce on Rockys tail (maybe cos his is missing!) - and he loves to cuddle up on anyones lap - he's not so fussy who's!!
It was a bit worrying at first - introducing two adult cats - but if anyone else who comes to rehome a cat is worried - I would definately say try it!
Pics attached!
ps - if you have another cat who has been with you for a long time - let me know ... I think we have room for another!

Hi
I thought I would send a little note and some photos to let you know how Yaldy the Dwarf-Lop is getting on.
Yaldy is now called Gimli, he didnt seem to know his name so I didnt think it would be a trauma and I couldnt get his name right so I went for a dwarfy name. After a very good start and a ride home together Yaldy and Silky were very quickly the best of friends. I put them in together in the car so they could cement their relationship over their mutual dislike of the car and traffic, whether it had any extra effect I am unsure, but they went into Silkys house from the start and aside from a bit of chasing mainly Gimli chasing Silky, they got on fine after a few days. Gimli spent his few nights in his rabbit cage in their house for some chasing time-out but now they sit together, eat together and snuggle up together and share a mutual love of carrots.
Gimli was really sweet when he arrived home. It was really funny watching him take his first slippy tentative steps down the ramp from their house into their run and it took him a few goes and the addition of an extra step to master going up again. He quickly learnt that Paddy the spaniels barking antics around their run are best ignored and that Chloe the cat is good for teasing. He also loved his first garden outing and it was funny watching him explore and then run back inside and then explore again. He now has much more confidence and will happily hop and bounce around the garden.
He is still quite a cautious and timid bunny, he doesnt have the biggest of appetites and has had some tummy trouble (I am getting his teeth checked next week) but he always comes to see what happening and has a very effective and frequently used thump especially for such a little rabbit.
Thank you for introducing them and having previously had two rabbits that fought to start with it was nice for it all to be so problem free.
Best Wishes
Lucy Mancer
Hello Penny
I rescued a cat called sky (Black and White) from you about 7 months ago (now renamed Murphy), she is doing really well and is very settled but sadly our other cat passed away last week and she is missing her terribly. I would like to get her another play mate as she is so full of energy and loves to play but as she has lost her play friend, she is not so energitic so we need to get her another friend. I think she would prefer a younger playful sister, if you could let me know if you have anything available me and Murphy would me much appreciated
Kind Regards

Hi To All!!!
We recently addopted Quinn and Wiggle from you. As you know they wern't a real pair. You had to try it out and hope for the best!
Quinn (Now known as Smudge)
Hes been so friendly and comes hopping up to you when you go next to the run. He has a really exciting character! As soon as we put him in the run he started eating grass!!! Hes become very settled and is such a pleasure to have!
Wiggle (Now known as Thumper)
She took longer to settle in than Smudge but has got used to it now. She still wiggles when you pick her up but soon settles down and doesn't mind.
Thumper's more into her toys and the sun than her partner.
Now I'm sure you'd like to know how the pair have got on with eachother.
Smudge is so loved up! He's already grooming her! She's still boss and doesn't like Smudge trying to become boss. Love is in the air!!
Thank You
Maz and Sophia
Hi
Just wanted to send you the first photo I've managed to take of the rabbits where they don't have evil red eyes!
I have had three rabbits from yourselves - I adopted Maisie (she was called Domino) last September as a companion to Fergal (aka Houdini).
Sadly, he succumbed to e.Cuniculi earlier this year, leaving Maisie moping and clingy.
I decided to get her a new chap, and returned to your branch. After a couple of false starts, we settled on Figaro - now called Bertie. I'd clearly been spoiled when introducing Maisie to Fergal, as that went without a hitch, but these two had several rows, and at one point the three of us were shut in the kitchen, sat on the floor, nervously checking each other out.
Now, they are totally inseparable. Maisie still comes over for a cuddle, but is more than happy playing with Bertie. They have great fun racing around the flat, and Saturday mornings wake me up by thundering into my bedroom and staring at me, demanding their breakfast. For mostly quiet animals, they are very good at getting their point across.
So thank you for everything, and for matching me up with my lovely pets.
Regards
Laura Murphy
Hello Penny
Thought you may like to know how Kodak is getting on. We actually call him Kojak now due to hubbys deafness at the time of contact with you.
Well after a rocky start with him hiding up our chimney for 36 hours and behind sofas, he is now absolutely ruling the roost, we love him to bits and he has developed a real character. Unfortunately for hubby this was supposed to be a cat for him but now I can't move or sit down without Kojak being with or on me. I must say it was like having a toddler again the first time he went out because we were watching him like a hawk while he was discovering our garden and fences. Then one night he didn't come back before we went to bed so hubby was up in the night to see if he was back, but no, he strolled in wondering what all the fuss was about at 6.40 the following evening! He is so funny and actually talks to me in his own way, though not always hubby. Have attached a picture for you.
We both think that you do an amazing job and wish you continued success in a great worthy cause.
Thank you very much.
