Urgent Appeal

Help Us Help the Animals and People of Medway

In March 2012 our accountant has made us aware that we still have less than 1 years running cost. Although we made many cut backs last year and increased our fund raising, we have maintained the amount in our bank account. We still need to do serious fundraising to get money into our branch the future of our Cattery, Clinic and Small animal centre is uncertain. With hundreds of animals that come into our care each year and so many people who use are reduced rate clinic we are going to fight to stay open. Many people think the RSPCA are a rich charity but we are just a small self funded branch and need all the help we can to raise some money to keep our services going.

We have been lucky enough to be one of the choosen charities for The Co-op in Walderslade for this year. They will holding numerous events this year to help raise money, they have collection buckets at the end of each of their tills and also have a pet food collection trolley in store.

Fundraising Suggestion

Our staff are game for anything and we are open for suggestions on what we can do to raise money. We are also are pleading with members of the public to help fundraise for us and will offer all the help and support we can. We can provide collection tins, banners, support material, sponsor forms etc. We will also help publicise any event/sponsorship.

If you can:-

Arrange an event on our behalf

Could you be sponsored to do something

Are you able to offer us a stall at an event

Are you able to do a bootfair for us as we have plenty of stuff but not the volunteers to do them.

Could you offer us something to raffle or auction

Could you donate good quailty items to sell

Could you make something for us to sell

Please contact us with any suggestions or ideas

Our First Fundraisng Event  Pyjama Week

Our first major fund raising event to help raise funds for the clinic was a silly idea of all the staff coming to work in their pyjamas for the week. Our outside volunteer were fantastic and got lots of sponsorship for cleaning the animals out whilst wearing their nightwear and with the wonderful support of our clients and general public our donation jar was full to the brim and our general sale also went well.

We raised a staggering £1109.95

Thank you for all your support
